The quality of TWD: Destinies, and why it gets to exist over this game?
The fact that TWD: Destinies gets to exist and seemingly even gets Skybound's approval, but this game got shutdown because Skybound didn't like it, especially when a bunch of new content that would've made the game way better was just around the corner, is just wrong.

This game, even in its current state is leagues better that game, so why did Skybound decide to shut it down, then years later give something like TWD: Destinies a stamp of approval, has their standards declined? it's very confusing.

And just to confirm that I was correct about it being Skybound's decision, I did a quick Google search:
On 26 February 2019, Skybound Entertainment terminated their contract with Starbreeze Studio, leading to the discontinuation of all efforts on the game, including cancellation of efforts to bring the game to consoles.

Overkills is based on the comics and the rights are owned by Skybound Destenis, on the other hand, is based on the TV show and the rights are owned by AMC. AMC doesn't care much about the quality of the games that are createt for the show, the main thing is that they get money and as soon as the license runs out, Destenis will disappear too. Skybound, on the other hand, is greedy and deeply evil, but they have a certain image so they play nice with fans and take the game off the market because it's bad just to actually stick a dagger in the back of the fans in order to kill a solid game but sold badly. AMC is always so greedy that they let the game run until the license expires because they don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about the image of the show (see the show Tales of The Walking Dead). Skybound, on the other hand, is above all evil and wants to screw over its fans and lie to their faces that they love the fans (see The Walking Dead Betrayl, Clementine Book 1-3, Clem and Lee Statue (yes, that should really exist) and of course Overklil's The Walking Dead).

Well said, I totally forgot to even think about differentiating the comics from the TV show in terms of game licencing, it all make sense now, thank you.

Your Welcome I'll help where I can :) especially because I was also very interested in the history of Overkills, I once saw a very interesting video about the creation of the game. The video is called "The Tragedy of Overkill's The Walking Dead" and is on the channel "
GVMERS", here is a link to the video: https://youtu.be/Rl6Fd6av8YM?si=V8l4A84ga5bJN8EX

I think Tragedy ripped off of this video, which changed title and thumbnail for some reason, wouldn't surprise me if it was Skybound:
