Melee Weapons

Is it just me or is the machette one of the more pwoerful weapons?
When I use the pickaxe it takes 3 to 4 swings to kill a zombie, but when I use a machete it takes 1 or 2.

Anyone else notice this?

You just must have a better machete.. I oneshot with my pickaxe too

Try using a bat as Aiden. Even when maxed out all your melee skills, you still need to tap a zombie twice in the head to kill it. It's ridicolous. Machete and Pickaxe can be one shot to the head when you put some points into them and get better weapons, the same thing does not happen with the baseball bat.

yep im lvl 25 aiden and got a lvl 20 bat and i 1 hit them

I feel like Pickaxe is the top tier.

It 1 hits everything with a light attack to the head with any character or perks on.

Maybe the problem is that you are not aiming to the head. With a lvl 15 Aidan and a blue bat u can 1 hit light attack a walker.

I am seeing a blood spot on their head when I aim for their head. To confirm this is the case, I just got a level 25 bat, and I am finally one shotting the zombies with one tap. Hitting them in the same manner as I was before. Nothing has changed except the fact that I got a level 25 epic bat.

The issue isn't even that though. The issue is that almost every other character can, at level 10 with a level 10 weapon, one tap zombies with a light tap. That's severly unbalanced.

The bat can AOE kill though... You also have to consider stamina costs over long term. Just because the axe can both 1-shot and AOE doesn't make it "better" than the bat, the bat uses much less stamina. If you're fighting a huge group the axe will tire you out quickly and you might get into some trouble where the bat could keep going.

The bat can AOE kill at a huge stamina cost. So that argument is invalid in the comparison you made. Also, pretty sure once maxed out, all characters can have the same stamina reduction costs for weapons and even if the bat uses slightly less stamina than other melee, in the long run the Machette/Pickaxe and possibly Axe, will be better and more OP than bat will be.
