I have a moddb site https://www.moddb.com/games/the-outforce/downloads And I also have a discord server: https://discord.com/channels/741647733500149803/741647734263775234
I'm working on a modification. Making new skirmish / campaign maps is not easy, but it is possible, the game has a built-in map editor. You can also extract any .box files and opf file with Watto's extractor.
I really don't know, why they aren't release the source code...
BTW: if you have any technical issue to make the game run on modern OS like trashdows 10, just download DxWnd and you can play on the game in full/widescreen on modern os.
They won't. The publiser defunct, the developer (O3 Games) now Starbreeze studios, they won't answer any emails about the outforce. They're no longer interested in in - unfortunately... They sold the rights (and maybe the source code) to the developers, but They're defunct.
