Great Crone (Governing for 100+ years)

Does anyone have any tips on how to get to 100+ years? The most I have been able to get to is 60. Is it easier at the beginning of a new game where you have less cards unlocked or would it be easier with more cards?

I was able to get up to 208 years yesterday, but it seems you got over it already since you got a badge.

I used duel pistols on the king without killing him multiple times when he asked if it was a good life or catched me with a lover. There seems to be a cooldown on using the pistol successfully, not sure how long the cooldown is, must be 5-10 years. Also works when sword or money get too low or too high. Same applies to using a duel pistol on the cardinal. You can use it many times, but there is a cooldown. In rare cases you can also use the parfume on the king instead of the pistols. I also used parfume on lovers and my maid, bone on the nun, clock on the cult priestess and book on the witch every chance I got, especially when it wasn't clear what a normal answer would do to my stats. Using parfume the items in most cases lets the stats to stay at the same level as before. Having all three buildings helps also as a just-in-case solution. As for the zodiac - it was a lion sign and I didn't build a boat yet. It seems I just got lucky and what got me in the end was a second villagers uprising that I couldn't counter in any way.
I still struggle with opening the last character card, that's supposed to be a viscount if I read it correctly somewhere on the internet. Since you unlocked at least 1000 cards and got the achievement do you happen to have any tips on opening that card? I got stuck at 669 for 2 irl days, it starts getting a bit frustrating...

As for the viscount, could you take a screenshot of your met characters screen so I can see which slot is empty? I don’t remember a viscount but they might go by another name in the game…

No problem, I also thought it's a glitch.
Thanks! Took a while to open last 20 or so cards, but trying to rule as long as possible during the eclipse and during plague helped a lot in the end.
I got my saves backed up at 1000 cards. So in case anyone here wants it just let me know.
