A dynamic campaign where you carry your planes and pilots forward thru the war would be an awesome addition to this game and add alot more replayability and depth. Your rookies could become Elite aces. You could upgrade your original planes to new models as things go forward. Maybe somewhat along the lines of Ace patrol or some of the older games in this genre. Right now just having fixed scenarios without your pilots or planes carrying over is rather limiting the long term appeal of this game....

This game got a lot of very negative reviews but it seems a lot of it is because it doesn't live up to its board game roots. That said, how is this game for someone who has never played the board game?

I've been waiting for some successor to the Over the Reich games for a while. Ace Patrol and Bomber Crew are way too cartoony and unrealistic for me. Here, the battle shots look alright, but I'm not seeing anything that shows a sense of managing a squadron, or anything strategic at all. Do your pilots have names, skills, and experience? Can you choose which planes go out, or how many go out on a given mission? If you lose a mission, does it change the next mission? And are the missions static, or ...

What are the good points and bad points helping and hindering this title? Being based on a board game, I'm very intriqued, but the "mixed" rating has given me pause for many months in terms of finally pulling the trigger... Loved and completed the Sid Meier games on my iPad and hated when they dropped support following iOS upgrade, so grabbed on Steam for fun (it was cheap), but still more interested in this one. As a solo only (no time for mulitplayer) is the game as it stands now worth getting in term...

Map won't stay centered and scrolls to the far corners if you have a joystick, throttle, or rudder pedals plugged in to your PC. Will his issue be fixed?
