Sandfish

Do I need a raft to catch the sandfish or something? I'm at the lake, I have the trout as bait, and I'm throwing my line as far as it goes, and they never bite.

It's not randomly giving you a fish. You can see the fish in the water. If you're casting into a minnow area you'll get minnows. Each school of fish looks different, and you've got to cast into an area with the fish you want.

I did, I cast it in a school of orange fish. But nothing happened.

I tried other baits too just in case, but nothing works. I must be doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what.

I think the only bait I haven't used on these orange schools is the minnow bait, even though the fish are definitely orange and should eat trout...I'll try when I get home from work I guess.

There's another thread in this forum from someone having the same problem for which someone suggested casting the line further which is why I asked if the raft would help or something lol

After AGES, I finally got it to work with one of the schools. The other(s) still doesn't work, so idk if they're bugged or if they're somehow just too far away lol. Either way I guess I figured out how to catch some.

Which school of fish did you end up trying it out on and being successful with?? I saw your question when you first posted it on 12/20 and I've been having the same problem and can't figure out which school of fish has Old Pops in it, I just want to complete the mission with Old Pops and get that lady's ring back already lol.
