Paintings for me
I spent a lot of time doing paintings thinking they were being saved for me as pictures or screenshots in an app data file but I find there's no such file and all my work was for nothing! So why suggest there's a place you can send extra finished paintings, seems unfair, and I loved this game!

While playing the game, press 'escape' and choose 'Export Paintings' from the menu.

I did. I saved everything and exported my paintings when I left the game. It said they were being exported to an app data file, you must have seen it. But that file doesn't exist apparently. I've read a lot of people's comments who have
the same complaint.
You apparently can upload the artwork to your own file but even that doesn't seem to work. I'm not smart with computers. Btw, how do you get the Steam app for PC do you know?

Are you playing on a Mac ? The folder for paintings is different on a Mac.

But the game should definitely tell you which folder it picked. Could you not find the folder ? If not, please tell me where it tells you to look ?

It should be exporting to C:/Users/(name)/AppData/LocalLow/Eastshade Studios/Eastshade, in a folder within. I've only been able to access paintings there.

I have to ask, where do you get this Mac version? I've never seen a download page/source for a Mac version of the game.

I'm sorry. I got confused between two games. As you thought, there's no Mac version for this game. But the rest of my post should be more on track !
@iTheftAuto That is the file it said to export paintings to but I've searched files and looked everywhere and it doesn't exist. I've read that other players have also not found this file but I can't believe a game this good would misinform players. Maybe I have too many paintings but that shouldn't matter because it's my computer data space I'm using right? Did you actually see your paintings there?:steamfacepalm:

No worries, I bet you were thinking of Leaving Lyndow, which has both a Windows and Mac version. I wish Eastshade had one as well.

@PeskytheTroll I sent them to the file located where iAutoTheft said. Same file, but he seems to have found his paintings. As I said somewhere, I'm not computer savvy but I should be able to find that file and there is the point I'm not the only one who's not found it.
Thank you PeskytheTroll and iTheftAuto for your help. You inspired me to go and try again. I had a terrible time but I finally DID find the paintings file and transferred them to a more easily found location. I'm so grateful for your help.:steamhappy:

Glad you found them. Maybe you can find some online lessons about folders and files, or even a relative to teach you over a computer link. But I'm glad you can enjoy your images.
Thanks again PeskyTheTroll, I'm learning. I'm amazed I found it at all, it wasn't just under the file name, I had to do a lot of searching. :)

One thing to keep in mind is that it only exports the paintings currently in your possession. So if you export, then paint over one of your paintings, that old painting that you painted over will be replaced with the new one when you export again.
