Can't complete the quest. First Zahra gave me 5 sets of vials for the water samples. I filled and returned 1 set to her and now she just repeats that they are being tested. I've "slept" and returned to her several times, no progress. Am I missing something?

You have to visit all five hotsprings and fill the bottles with the water from each hotspring, otherwise it won't work! Maybe you have filled two bottles with water from the same hotspring (by mistake?). Hotsprings are in/at Westerley Woodlands, Saltspring Coast, Westspring Bluff, Howling Caverns and Restless Reach.

Strange! I have completed the game without much trouble. In particular this quest was no problem for me. Something must have gone wrong.

We've seen this bug a few times. I know this sounds strange, but if you sleep many days (like 5-15 days) in your tent it will eventually advance the quest. Sorry about this bug! May I ask, do you remember if you did the excavators quest while waiting for Zahra to do the test?

So I tried sleeping multiple days and when I went back Zahra was reset back to asking me to gather water samples and giving me empty vials.

Eek sorry about that. Could you send your saves to [e-mail] ? They will be located in C:\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\Eastshade Studios\Eastshade . I can perhaps have a gander at what's going on there.

To anyone else with this issue: Sleeping a bunch of days in the tent has definitely worked for some people, so it might be worth a try if you're having this issue. Basically the excavators quest is resetting the gameDaysPlayed number which is making Zahra think testing is not yet complete. We do plan on getting this fixed as soon as we can!

Does it have to be sleeping in a tent? (i didn't have this bug, just curious if tent is different from "beds")

Sigh, I've come across this bug now too. I have all quests completed now except for this one. I've tried the sleep in the tent for various days, I've done it multiple times and she still asks me to wait for the results. My journal recognizes that it's past the hour, Zahra just won't progress. It bugs me to leave this game incomplete like that.

Try sleeping for more days. Try sleeping for 20 days. The problem is one of the quests resets the day count. So if you happened to do that quest while Zahra was testing the potion she is checking for a certain day and now your save is many many days behind. Ignore the journal having recognized the hour is past, as that is actually one of the steps required to see this bug in the first place.

Got the same problem. Completed all quest (but one : big fish catching...) and I wait for days Zahra change his mind !
Previous bug : she gave me two times the five bottles. I tried to fill the five remaining bottles but it was not possible.

The issue is that the "game days played" counter is reset during the excavators quest, that has been fixed in version 1.19 (I think), but if this happened to you before that update, you have to catch up the game days to what it was when Zahra told you to start waiting. It could be as many as 20 game days. You likely need to keep sleeping. Sorry about that. Hopefully moving forward nobody else who started the game on the later updates should be seeing this bug.

Thanks, I will try. But she ask me to wait BEFORE I give her the five full bottles, so... It's really strange.

Tried. At 12 nights, the game crashes and crashes the pc. I will continue......

12 nights lost ! I will save and change place to sleep every 5 nights, doing this on a few days (our days, not game days).
