The Ice Boxes

Can someone please give me a clear understanding of how to position the boxes in the stupid arctic quest? I hate these types of puzzles because I can't rely on my coordination. I also can't find any videos of the solution, which is usually my go-to so now I'm stuck and it's LITERALLY MY LAST QUEST...HAAAAALLLLP.

There is a little flame floating in the air you just need to build a little stair out of those boxes

I sort of stacked them up like this (can't remember the exact number of boxes you have to work with, so keep that in mind):

How are folks reaching the flame with just a height of three or four boxes?? I just stacked five or six and the flame still seems to be higher than that. Mind, I couldn't climb the tower because it's so far proved impossible to stack that many boxes and still be able to climb the resulting tower. Even if I turn each box by a few degrees to make a staircase, eventually I reach a point where a box a few levels up prevents me from climbing onto the lower step, because the higher box is in the way.

Thanks! I was under the incorrect impression that I really needed to build all the way up to the flame. Turns out that still being several meters below it was sufficient! Man, those boxes handle awkwardly, though!

yeah those boxes was one of the worst parts of the whole game
