Stories in the Tarnished Teapot

So i'm not sure if this is a bug or working as intended, but the first time I went to the Tarnished Teapot at 7pm there was a story. since then different stories have been advertised and the story teller gets up but its silent... is that intentional or is the audio file just not playing for some reason?

I have the same issue. Loved the first story, but I have been back several times since then and everytime she just appears and starts talking, but there is no audio. It seems to be a bug, which I hope to see a fix for. Would love to hear the other stories/music.

I have a similar but, slightly different problem. I went for the first story and since then it's been the same one every night no matter what is advertised. Can't figure out how to fix it but, I'd like to hear the other stories!

I didn't know the posters changed. I hadn't noticed that. I get the same story every time. I always have audio. I really don't think there are other stories. The dialogue doesn't change with the characters either.

Ditto here, only ever heard one story about the witch. I just found out there are more and like my life is a lie. Lol. I want to hear the others!

Just to sort of keep this thread posted, I found that someTIMES (I really cant tell what did it, maybe exiting and re entering the game?) the story ended up shifting... So I ended up hearing three over the course of the game?
Would love this to be looked into though, some lovely work was put into those stories

I found the answer by accident! There are 4 stories: Witch tale, Music show, Pauper tale and Sailor tale. The stories change every 4 ingame days: Witch tale 0-3 days, Music show 4-7 days, Pauper tale 8-11 days and Sailor tale 12 or more days.

Thanks again Altbert for finding answers! I have only heard the one and didn't expect there really were others. How interesting. A new goal- hear all the stories

I don't know if on the 16th day you will hear the Witch tale again, or if the Sailor tale will be played from the 12th day onward. Ofcourse the game can be finished within 16 ingame days, but you can stay on the island as long as you want after receiving your shipping ticket.

Most items, such as scragweed, sticks, inky caps, etc. will respawn after a few days, and can be sold to various NPCs. So, you can become "rich beyond measure", not that it will do you any good on the mainland.

I didn't even know that this was a thing, figured the posters where just for looks, considering how they didn't finish the city's water wheel and left it as 2 metal rods and 1 water wheel. I made a description of what is supposed to be there in the forums just now.

It's not important for the game or for achiements. There are 4 shows performed in the inn in a cycle of 4 days.

You do get inspiration for listening to the stories, though. I don't know if you get it if you've heard the story already.
