is this game worth the asking price?

Seems to be something i should just wait for in a bundle in the future? if it ever happens.

Oh absolutely. Worth the asking price and more. Probably the most visually beautiful game I've ever played. Worth it for the visuals ALONE. Has an entertaining storyline,interesting quests. Gorgeous music, as well.

Not to mention: The team is ON TOP OF any bugs encountered, listens to feedback, and is constantly tweaking to make the game better.

I think it is. I got 11 hours of gameplay and all 11 have been enjoyable.

I'd even say it might be worth a bit more. It's a great game, beautiful art style, great and peaceful atmosphere and 15+ hours of gameplay at least (some say 25+ hours) from what i've heard. I'm at about 11 hours now and there is a lot left to do and to discover. Already one of my all time favorites because of the setting and atmosphere.

IMHO, the game is worth every dime. Furthermore, the developers' concern about feedback and bug reports, and prompt response to customer problems is truly outstanding (based on my own experiences). Okay, maybe some hi res textures would come in beneficial (as e.g. the amazingly detailed realistic landscape scenery offered in the KCD game), but as of now Eastshade is conveying this artistic "Bob Ross" flavor in the vistas, and as such the current textures are fine enough, Also, the USP of the game is its peaceful tranquility, differentiating it pleasantly from the all too many violent games around. Regarding length of play: it's too early to say for me - but I assume future DLCs might add more quests. In a nutshell: a clear BUY !!

Absolutely!! Huge virtual reality world, many hours of enjoyable play. You definitely lose track of time with this one---very immersive. Folks will want to stay forever!! This might just be a play again and again one.

When i played it shortly after release i didn't encounter any serious bugs at all. The performance wasn't too great, but since this isn't a shooter or something that requires quick reactions it's perfectly playable.

Some say there is still a Save Game bug and the game has not been fixed nor updated for 2 years now. Thus I will just wait for this to be included in Bundles or offer a bigger discount than 50% which it has been stuck for a long time now.
