Is there a better way to resolve this quest than reporting him? I can't help but feel like there were options I missed that would have resolved things better for everyone.

Well, I can't say I'm fond of him either. But I was hoping I'd eventually be able to get him to calm down. I couldn't tell if he was really abusive to the kid or just weird and eccentric. It would have been nice to get other villagers' opinions of the situation.

Yeah, that's kind of what I thought. Maybe someday they'll expand that quest a bit. The sheriff really should do something, at the very least, if there's really abuse involved.

i agree, i didnt try to turn him in because i felt like there would have been a better way to resolve things. i wish i had picked the correct dialogue options because i dont like having an unfinished quest in my quest log, but it just doesnt feel right to me. i felt bad for upsetting him, i was only trying to explain to him what Emine told me.

You could provoke him into hitting you by calling him a bad parent after he tells you to get out. At that point the sheriff does get involved, the child goes with his aunt and Ehsan steers clear from you. Not saying it's at all a preferable decision but it is an option.
