Play together as party ?

Does the game supports co-op progress with party ? Now its just like we can play together but we cannot progress together other than do our own quest simlutaniously... Is that how the game works or can you acctually co-op together (meaning if my mate turns in a quest we will both complete it)

Another thing is that I can damage my friend.. Can you turn that off ?

It seems that you CAN join a party when playing local coop, but cannot when playing on a dedicated server. Clan feature is sorely needed, it seems.
