Server files distribution is also planned, but later on in the development.
By default servers have a 50 player limit.
Presumably if Gportal can rent servers that means dedicated server for this game does exist. Thank you Much_Live for the steamdb link will see if that works on game launch.
If you decide to play coop with your friends, you'll just be joining each other's worlds/save files. No other players involved.
I noticed the developer keeps ignoring this question, so it looks like they must have some kind of financial agreement with G-Portal, that gives them exclusive rights to the dedicated server files at launch.

Are worlds saved on the cloud though and can be joined at any time like a faux dedicated server?
If not, any ETA on dedicated server files? This WEF rent only crap is a great way to kill your game.
So no, there are currently no player hosted worlds other then paying for the servers sadly. Terrible move on developers part.
