i would have liked it but one mechanic missing destroyed the whole game if it was there i would have recomend the game since story was not badand liked world set up but no stealth in game they want you to be stealthy is just incomptence .
i had it for ps4 but returned iton 9th day before by policy ended as i have 11 days for a full exchange or return on any game dont matter reason if you bought new and beat it in that time you can return it its one thing i love about EB games being a onyx card holder you have over week to try out or beat any game you buy
If you want an exemple Metal gear survive wich was review bombed by kojima fans got mixed reviews, so left alive is that bad and when they launched the game on PC it was unplayable as in no one tested the game before launch, so it's a huge scam.
But looking at this as just a game in the grand scheme: This game is painfully average by virtue of there being significantly better games out there. It might be worth looking into for $20 at most just to satiate the curiosity with low expectations. Also, the optimization is apparently garbage since it won't run well on older mid-range GPUs like the GTX 1060, so apparently you'd need something super high-end like a 2080 Ti to only mostly maintain 60 frames.
So yeah, this game kinda sucks, but I just had to know with first-hand experience.
What makes the game pretty bad for me ( Beside not being a Front Mission game. ) is that it's a stealth heavy game with no stealth kill, no enemy vision cone or any indication of the range they can spot you and instead of a detection bar or something like that, it seems to randomise either an enemy will not see you, spot you instantly or investigate your position.
I wanted to give it another chance now that's it is on sale and I still feel like I paid too much and regret giving it another chance even though it's playable once you know what to expect and keep those expectations really low.
- optimization is awful. you'd better have a computer from nasa in order to maintain a stable 60fps at 1080P
- AI is dumber than...dumd
- animations are really clunky
- stealth mechanics are useless once you get a decent gear
- voice over is "meh" at best...
- wanzer battles are rare and not that exiting
- sometimes very difficult for nothing
this game wanted to be everything, but the execution failed big time.
I agree. It's pretty broken, but it still has a lot more positives than most reviews point out.
Change a few mechanics in this game & it will get better reviews. I haven't got past the first stage cause trying to fight giant mech with a F%^CKING p shooter. when I kill a hostile at least give me a weapons drop along ammo drops.
