Hello ColdZin,
I'm sorry you've experienced a crash when playing the Little Misfortune game. I have not been able to replicate the crash, so I don't think it is a bug, nor is it normal.
Here are some troubleshooting steps to try:
(1) Did you restart the game and try the "Continue" menu pick on the game? This should allow you to resume gameplay about where the game crashed. Can you now play past the point where the game crashed?
(2) If not, then if you haven't rebooted your computer since you downloaded the game, please do that now. But you don't need to reboot again if your computer HAS been rebooted at least once since you downloaded and installed it.
(3) Then please verify the integrity of the game files. Instructions for doing this are here: https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/0C48-FCBD-DA71-93EB.
Then try to play the game again, using the "Continue" menu pick to resume your gameplay. Does it get beyond your prior gameplay without crashing now?
(4) If the game is still crashing, it might be helpful to examine the "output_log.txt" file. Please upload this file to a cloud service and reply to this message with the link to that uploaded file. The file "output_log.txt" is located here on your Windows computer:
c:\users\<Your Windows Login Name>\Appdata\Locallow\Killmonday Games\Little Misfortune\output_log.txt"
(5) It would also be helpful for me to see the specs of your computer and when your video drivers were last updated. On Windows computers, uploading the DirectX Diagnostic Tool report to the cloud will give me the information I need. Instructions for obtaining this report may be found here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/open-and-run-dxdiag-exe-dad7792c-2ad5-f6cd-5a37-bf92228dfd85. Uploading this report to the cloud and providing me with the link will be appreciated as well.
If rebooting your computer and/or verifying the integrity of the game files does not fix the crashing, then If you upload both of those documents and provide me the links to them, I'll take a look and let you know if there are any other troubleshooting steps to try.
I'm sorry for your inconvenience.
