Dead Tenant

It was completely unobvious to me that this was a stealth area. I just tried to blast my way through and the game let me save and auto-saved as well until there were no more previous saves. Then I get to the empty room at the end of the area and I cannot survive because of the turrets.

I get so frustrated I look up a youtube play through to see how people get passed this. They don't. They don't get noticed and never have to deal with it.

So I go to load a previous save, all the auto-saves are after I am in this turret debacle.

I go to new game, and "Dead Tenant" is not an option. I have to start at chapter 1.

What do I do so I don't have to start over?

That part is not very difficult. You have to follow a route in a linear way and thus in this way no enemy will detect you. If you look at the video, you will see that it is possible to pass that part very stealthily.
