This is a registry repair made by players, which is actually the same function as modifying the registry by yourself.

no need for the above repair method

Here's another better solution:

First open CMD in Admin mode,
then type "netsh winsock reset"
without quotes,
and press enter twice
then restart your pc

Avast reports everything as Win32:Malware-gen (I wrote a guide as a *.doc and it reported it as a Win32:Malware-gen) - it is a generic error for any file the edits something in the windows system, either a *.exe or registry.
