is there a way to set controller deadzone to 0?
the minimum i can set it in settings is 1. which doesn't seem like a lot, but it is _very_ noticeable in fine movements and drives me nuts. i have set controller deadzone to minimum in the general steam controller settings, and it's set to "none" in the controller profile for aim lab. the only thing that adds a dead zone is aim lab settings.

maybe I can set it through the config files or something if the option is not available in the UI

but generally I would love this to be an option in the UI. there is a very noticeable difference between playing apex with a zero deadzone and practising in aim lab. flicks work fine, but tracking and precision shots are a pain, which makes half of the exercises not ideal at all

please, send halp! thank you!

I did this yesterday with Destiny. Dead zones in that game or horrible. Not sure If this will work in this game but this is what I did with Destiny:

In steam controller configuration you need to go to the right stick configuration and under the "Deadzones" section activate a custom deadzone, then enable "Advanced deadzones settings". From here adjust the "Anti-Deadzone" setting to whatever you prefer. I'm using a Dualsense controller so I cranked it up to 7000 which seemed to completely remove all deadzone from the stick to the point where if I leave it go, it remains perfectly still but if I even move it 1mm it will slowly turn. Ymmv.
