Crashes

1. Try verifying the integrity of the game files (Right click on Aim Lab on steam > Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of game files)
   
2. Try closing : ASUS Sonic Studio, MSI Nahimic, Steelseries Engine, ASUS GPU Tweak II, Rivatuner.
   
3. Try updating your graphics card drivers.
   
4. Run as admin via Steam :
   Right click on aimlab on steam > Select local files > Browse > Left click on aimlab.exe > Run as administrator
   
5. Make sure you run the game via Steam library, not desktop shortcut or taskbar

Black Screen
The screen fades to black just before a loading screen.

• If you clicked a button and the screen went black, click the button again to make sure the loading screen happens.

Cant use workshop

• Make sure the game is launched from the Steam library or from a steam-based shortcut.
  Some workshop items require an Aim Lab account, make sure you are signed in if still not working

Downloaded workshop items don’t launch
We are currently investigating an issue with some users unable to play items they downloaded in the Workshop so we can resolve it.

In the meantime users have reported that by exiting and re-launching Aim Lab has resolved the issue.

Also if you do not have an Aim Lab account (or play offline), some playlists contain Scenarios which require an Aim Lab account to function at this time


Cant upload to workshop

1. Accept the Steam workshop agreement.
   
2. Launch the game from Steam library

Deleted playlists keep coming back

• The 3 Valorant playlists are part of Aim Lab which is why they come back after deleting them. This is expected behavior.

Game on second monitor

• Right click on Aim Lab on steam > properties > launch options > “-Monitor X” (without quotation marks) Replace X with the monitor number you wish you use.

Resolution resets upon restarting
We are looking into the issue, but in the mean time you can attempt to:

1. change the resolution to something different than what you are trying to save as, like "Windowed"
   
2. click "save"
   
3. restart Aim Lab
   
4. then set the resolution to what you actually want and try saving again

This has worked for some and not for others but we are looking into the underlying cause.


Screen turns grey when playing a task
The game is zoomed in due to the FOV being on the lowest value.

• Open Settings > Controls and set the FOV back to your intended value.

Crosshair moves all by itself

• A controller is plugged into the PC and is moving the crosshair. Unplug the controllers.

Crosshair is missing

If you've changed the resolution (ex. 1920x1080 to 1280x720) you'll need to:

1. adjust the crosshair sliders after changing resolution
   
2. then save
   
3. change the sliders back to their normal values
   
4. save again.

The actual crosshair is still based on the old resolution and needs to be rebuilt on the new resolution.


Weapon changes to R4C when not selected

• If you played a Siege task then this weapon is automatically selected as those tasks are locked to this weapon. You can click the Edit button next to Play to select a different weapon for non Siege tasks.

R4C has poor accuracy

• The R4C has high spread and low accuracy while hipfiring as it does in Siege, this is the expected behavior of this weapon and should be used in ADS.

I can't log in, there is an SSL error

• There are issues affecting players located in Turkey (Turkish VPN might also cause this)

My rank says I have 321.1 points

• Make sure the game is launched from the Steam library
  
• Play a task and it should return to normal.

Rank not changing or decreasing

• Ranking has been updated, previously your rank was based on the median of your last 100 plays per category.
  Now it's the average of your top 5 plays per category.
  However tasks are weighted differently, otherwise you could play 1 specific task very well and get 100 for that category and never decrease if you stopped playing it and only others. So it's possible for your score to lower even with a new high score on a specific task.

Cursor and crosshair shows at the same time

• Pause and unpause the game
  
• Exit to the main menu and return to the task
  
• Restart the game

Not getting their recovery email

• Ask a user to DM FrankJaeger#2607 in Discord (fastest method)
  
• email [e-mail] (from the email they’re having issues with), or
  
• or submit an in-game bug report.

Want to change username/email address

1. Visit http://www.aimlab.gg
   
2. sign in
   
3. go to "profile" > "settings (gear icon)
   
4. edit your username/email address

Unable to register an account

• Check for empty spaces at the end of email address
  
• Make sure username does not contain invalid characters (underscores, periods, spaces or non-latin characters)
  
• Make sure password matches
  
• “Email error” is a generic error message and may not be accurate, check above

Pentakill doesn’t let you shoot sometimes

• Pentakill has only 5 bullets per wave, if you use all of them you need to wait until next wave

User reinstalled their windows or got a new PC resulting in their play data being gone

• You can download the data by going to profile > download data > download from server

Submitting a bug report results in an error

• It’s just a visual error, report still goes through

UI looks weird- Artifacts on user screen, missing components on UI etc

• Probably because files corrupted, this is fixed by verifying files (Right click on Aim Lab on steam > Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of game files)
  
• If still un-resolved, update GPU drivers or (preferred method) download drivers from manufacturer's website and choose the Clean/Factory Reset install option.

Lag/Stutter/Low FPS, poor performance
Although we aren't fully optimized yet, here are a few things you can try to remedy performance issues:

• Increase Max Queued Frames
  
• Set graphics setting to a lower value such as "Fastest" and turn off additional effects such as bullet impact, Post-processing etc. (FX options)
  
• Enable Frame Limiter and choose a framerate that matches the refresh rate of your monitor.

If it performs much better with everything lowered, you can play around with raising them back up slowly to see what works best for you.

If you are still having issues after trying these solutions check your mouse settings, lowering your polling rate to less than 1000hz has helped users.

If you are using an integrated Intel HD (non UHD) with <4GiB of RAM or Nvidia MX series GPU it may not meet the minimum requirements to perform well.

Same here. The game gets stuck on retrieving data and the unity crash window appears on the screen. Not sure why or what happens but I played it like yesterday and the same day this issue began. Even tried all of the stuff mentioned above. I even have the crash logs of it.
