why do accounts exist?
So I built a new PC (R7 3700x, 32GB RAM, RX 480 (waiting for RTX 3060ti availability).
I installed steam, cs, aim lab, valorant. all ran fine. I logged into Aim Labs, boom, had to configure all settings again. All progress lost. So there is my question: What is the accountsystem used for, when not for storing userdata (progress, rank, points etc.)?

Thank you for the feedback. After logging into your account, you can download your rank in the settings. Go to [Profile] - [Skills] - [Download Data] - [Download From Server].

Its because of leaderboards. You dont realy have to worry about your progres in the end you are the one who is making progres not game.

yeah, cool. but now I don't know if i made progress cause the data is gone
