Profoundly bad at this?
Getting back into R6S and I want to get better at the game. Heard some people recommend this, and I'm trying it out.

But I seem to be profoundly bad at this..

Practicing microshots on speed.

And I usually get a score around 20,000 accuracy 60% and reaction time around 600ms

My hand also really hurts after just one minute.

Is this something I should practice just a lot more, or am I just far behind?

Hello,

I will try and see if can find someone more knowledgeable on this to come and give you a better answer but it is my understanding that if you start to feel hand pain you should stop, rest and do some finger exercises/stretches. This could either be a medical condition thats effecting you, for instance, I have trigger finger from playing bass for many years and sometimes need to take a break every now and again. Could also simply be the way you hold your arm and mouse, which is something I have been working on to make playing easier and be more comfortable while playing. But, there could also be factors I am unaware of, so like I said I'll try and grab someone from the team who can help you out more with this.

Josh brings up a lot of worthwhile points here.

While I do agree, you should take a break should you experience pain/discomfort, it is also important to find out what is causing the discomfort.

Hand pain is usually caused by overgripping the mouse, squeezing down on it instead of gently cupping it firmly, for example.

Try to adjust your grip, see if there is any way that gives you continued control over the mouse while not causing you as much/any discomfort.

Should the pain continue through different grip styles, try to see a GP or doctor, it could be anything from underhydration to nerve damage causing it, and knowing what causes it is the key to fixing it.

Try not to worry about how your stats compare to others but just try to improve on your own stats. I try to always increase my score and accuracy while reducing my reaction time.

I tend to focus on 1-3 exercises every few weeks because I see more progress and it keeps me motivated.

One of the benefits of Aim Training is that it works your shoulder/arm/wrist/fingers muscles much much more than just playing an FPS. As you push yourself and use these muscles more than you ever have they will start to fatigue and "give out" on you. This is good! On the other end, if your feeling any type of pain, then you should stop. You need to be able to identify fatigue from exercising the muscles vs pain from something wrong.

Aim training is also a really good way to warm up before playing.
