GFWL product key issue

Why does GFWL need my VT4 CD Key again,only to give me an error message saying "The product key you provided has already been registered to another LIVE profile. Please enter a valid product key or go back and choose a different Windows Live ID."This makes no sense, since I only use one account to play GFWL games.Even the CD Key is typed in the activation field from the last time it was used with this one account,for crying out loud.

Anyone with similar problem and/or a possible fix?

I'm having the same issue. Says my key is already linked to another account. The other account that shows up is not one im familiar with.

Its either someone stole your account , or you have an old account from years ago, wich u dont even remmember. There is only 1 key per 1 GFWL (xboxlive) account. Not possible to have two accounts. If you still have the game key, and u have some proof of it that is yours (booklet) or billing info, maybe Xbox live support can help you modify the email adress into new one for the same game key. Send them your request.

Try and remember what email address you used at the time to register the CD key.

Make sure that you are logging into the email address you used years ago to play the game

The email address should be Hotmail, live, MSN or windows live

Logging into it, it freezes after entering login info with "Please wait" and the circle just spins and spins... have to exit out.

The game will require probably about 3 restarts when u log into games for windows live, before u can play
