What if Sonic 06' was a success?

As the title says, what if Sonic 06' wasn't rushed and got rid of all it's glitches and broken stuff? What if it became popular as Sonic's revival? I want to hear your sincere thoughts and assumptions about this subject.

I thought to myself what would happen if that was the case and I thought of these results:
All Sonic games afterwards would be at the style of Sonic Adventure, like Sonic 06'
Silver's story won't be originating from Sonic Rivals 2 and came from Sonic 06' itself.

The game had other problems other than being buggier than a bug in a dune buggy. Like a story that took itself too seriously, for instance.

Yup, story was too serious as for sonic series.

Even though the story was way too serious for a Sonic game but so was SA2's ShadowTH's, and even Sonic CD, but the point is, all of those stories were very good, and really made me, at the very least, intrigued with where it all went.
