Does anyone else find the stage Crisis CIty to be very aggravating to play on?
Crisis City turns me off from the game.

Yeah, I'd have to say that Crisis City feels like one of the weakest levels for Modern Sonic. Though, ironically enough, that level is one of the best levels in Sonic' 06.

Also, I would like to note that I'm going by what I played in the 2006 mod since I do not actually own Sonic '06.

Crisis City does not feel right in the game, it seems that every minor mistake you make will likey get you killed.

Ah, then it's exactly like it was in Sonic '06.

Well...aside from the lack of the Mach Speed Segment that spent half the time forcing you to look behind, causing you to crash into objects in front of Sonic, losing rings, and likely dying.

Ah, that was good times, and a royal nightmare to S-rank in '06. Thank goodness it's relatively easier to do in this game.

Personally, I felt that Planet Wisp was the weakest level for Modern Sonic. But, that's just my taste (The last section of that level, with all the cart-riding, just bored me to tears. And slowed the action to a crawl).

I own Sonic '06, and strangely, while it can drive you crazy with the glitches and unreasonable level sections (i.e. the Mach Speed Segments), the game does have a certain strange charm to it. To the point I dare say...I actually enjoyed it.

Mind you, it's definitely NOT one of my favorites in the series, not by any stretch of the imagination... but I did enjoy it.

Almost ironically, it's my favourite of the Modern levels after Planet Wisp. I'm at that point where I've got the whole stage down to a rhythm after over 3 years of having the game, so it just becomes nice to soak in the atmosphere during a perfect run and admire how beautiful the setting looks in the Hedgehog Engine. None of the other 06 levels, apart from specifically Kingdom Valley's Mach Speed section (upward rising walls and all), could have benefited from this kind of do-over.

Anyway, it's not really a hard level when you're actually taking your time and utilizing the stomp to get a firm stop and set up your platforming. There's nowhere that can kill you instantly, unless you're dropping into the pits all the time.
