Sonic Generations

PC vs Xbox 360
I already have the Xbox 360 version, but planned on getting the PC version (partly as an excuse to view the alternate cutscenes for beating Act 1 first, I'm not sure if both are added to the cutscene viewer regardless and I unfortunately can't check for myself at the moment) to experience the differences but now I don't know if there are any. I thought the PC version lacked the first Sonic game, but reading the Sonic Wiki made it seem like it didn't.

I don't think those Act finish cutscenes are in the cutscene viewer. The PC version does not have the Sonic 1 emulator but I think people found ways to mod that back in.

Also, there is a remastered version of this game on steam with more content (but less mods).
Also, this version has plenty of nice mods, especially if you never played Sonic Unleashed.

Hope we get a functional non-janky Modern Sonic Spindash one day. Being worked on :)

This version has a ton of older Mods.

The Shadow Generations remaster has multiple saves. So its much easier to replay the game and get whatever cutscenes you want to see from either side.

And the second game on Shadow's side, but thats completely new.

I was right about Sonic 1.

Also, this version of Generations runs better than the 7th gen console versions.
On PS3 and XBOX 360, frame rate is limited to 30FPS whereas on PC it runs at 60FPS (cutscenes are locked to 30) and load times are far better. Sonic 1 isn't playable in this version, but there's other ways to get Sonic 1 anyway. This is actually much closer to the version you'll experience if you get Sonic X Shadow Generations.
Thank you! I do have Sonic X Shadow, and the Xbox 360 version... or had. I somehow gave my system the red dot of death.
