Graphics are bad on Sonic Generations and I dont know how to fix it
So I bought gens a few months ago after buying a gaming laptop (Asus Rog strix g-15) and it has pretty good specs, Intel core i5-10300h and a Nvidia geforce 1650 ti, but for some reason the game looks bad.The colours are dark and the overall graphics just look fuzzy/pixelated though the fps is fine. I have tried everything like changing settings on Nvidia Control panel, also updating drivers and stuff but the game looks the same even when at full performance mode.is it my laptops specs that are the issue or is it the refresh rate being set to 144hz being to high, idk, Can someone help me out on how I can fix it and what the issue is.

Check which resolution you selected in the config tool of the game and compare that to your monitor resolution (I would assume its 1920x1080, you can check that in the Windows display settings). You can select the config tool after clicking on the Play button in the steam library.

You should set the game resolution to the same as your monitor resolution.

You can also tweak some other minor things in that config tool.

There are also some mods to slightly enhance the graphics.

Is it just my laptops specs?

Your laptop is fine. Can you maybe send a screenshot?
Maybe enable Antialiasing FXAA in the config tool, that will smooth out the edges.

You can also try to right-click the game, select properties, go to compatability, check the second checkmark and select Application. Maybe try other settings there is it doesn't work.

I can't see any of these screenshots. Maybe you set them to private.

The one about High DPI scaling.

Hm, looks about as expected.

Enabling FXAA (not sure if its already enabled) could remove some pixelated edges. You can also run the game in a higher resolution if your laptop can handle it. You can do that by using the Nvidia DSR setting for the game or use a mod that also does that.

Is that how everyones game looks like? I was just a little worried that it might have been my laptop
