I'm not sure what else you want us to tell you if you've gone and blocked the father of this game's modding community for giving you the only viable option, though.
The second time, he COULD had said something like "Alright. Sorry, but it's not currently possible to edit Generations models with Blender", but no, he had to be unpolite.
You inferred too much from three words he said to you and thought of it as impolite, if anything you were being impolite yourself.
But yeah you'll have to use 3ds Max to export it out to blender if you want it done the quickest way. Just easier that way.
