I did manage to get the achievement myself, so it is possible. But I can tell you now: it'll be a struggle the whole way.
But, my advice is: Just keep trying.
For me, the game would tend to crash when my cursor was on Seaside Hill. So I had to learn how to avoid it when possible.
For the later levels, I moved the cursor up to the bottom of the list (Planet Wisp). For earlier levels, I just move the cursor down from Green Hill, as normal.
Sometimes, I could do one level before the game crashed; other times I could manage to do up to 4 levels at a time, before it crashed.
I did find that Act 2 stages were more likely to crash on the stage select, but if you are careful with what you select, you can minimize your chances of a crash.
The important thing to note is: The crash only happens on the stage select Once you start a level, you'll be fine.
Also, don't worry about your time attack score not showing on stage select. Believe me - your time is there, and counts for the achievement. All you have to do is play each level (both acts) one time, and the achievement will be yours.
I hope you can make it, Kael.
