The Steam Client is not running.
Whenever I start up Sonic Generations I get met with a “Critical Error!” message reading “The Steam client is not running. Please run the Steam client and try again.” I have tried to verify the cache but every time I do so I am met with “1 file failed to validate and will be reacquired”. Could someone please help me out?

Try restarting steam or your PC.

Restarting my PC and steam did not seem to change anything. For some added info it used to work fine on my older pc until I decided to switch to a newer laptop. I would receive the “Graphic configuration” error and the “MSVCP100.dll is missing” error before managing to fix those but I can’t seem to fix this bug.

How did you manage to fix the MSVCP100.dll is missing error?
