If that really is your GPU then I'm not surprised your laptop can't play the game. Frontiers is pretty badly optimized and doesn't even run well with kinda recent computers.

If Generations is barely running then you can probably forget about newer 3D sonic games (maybe the colours remaster or the 2d one could be okay).

Keep in mind that you can refund games on steam if they don't run well enough, although not an infinite amount.
alright, i played the demo. When I did 1980x1080@60hz, it ran at 20 fps. when i did 1620x1080@60hz though, it ran at 50-60 fps.
The image was probably stretched or had black bars if you picked that resolution. Try to choose a resolution that fits your screen, so 16:9 resolutions, like 1280x720 or try whatever works.

It's probably not gonna run well but it might be playable.

Here is some gameplay but apparently at a really low resolution

There are some mods to slightly improve performance.

I tried out the demo and it worked good though the fps was like 30.

Playing the demo is a good indication, although that doesn't have to be representative and most games don't have demos.

If you only have an integrated GPU (like your Intel HD 520) you will be GPU limited in most cases so try to look up youtube videos of the game with your GPU.

Asking experienced people is a good idea sometimes since the whole CPU and GPU thing can be very confusion but sometimes performance can be hard to judge.

Steam store pages have minimum requirements at the bottom but they aren't always accurate and require some knowledge up your hardware is better or not than the minimum.
