Really unfair this games getting a remaster

sonic team is extremely lazy and just keeps going for the low hanging fruit; they keep ignoring unleashed - the most graphically and technically demanding sonic game for garbage like colors - a crap wii game & remastering an already remastered game on steam . generations doesn’t need a remaster , this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

And even if ti wasn't, Generations is praised by most fans as "one of the best Sonic games ever made" so it only makes sense to remaster it.

Pretty sure Unleashed will come after this, but I think Generations is a little more important right now. Here me out. Unleashed released on every main console at the time, even the "UnWiished" version. However, Generations got almost everything except for one. Nintendo. The 3DS version doesn't count. It wasn't available on every home console at the time, and still isn't, like Switch, PS4/5, and Xbox One/Series S/X. That's why they remastered Colors first, because not many could play it. Also, this game could be used to redeem Shadow, making him not an edgelord anymore. As much as Unleashed deserves to be re-released/remastered on modern consoles and PC, Generations is a little more important right now. phew huge rant over

unleashed is the only boost game unplayable on modern hardware(PC) man. Generations is more easily accessible than unleashed & they just want to milk generations because it’s their golden child . nostalgia sells & so does re-releasing popular games . They could’ve redeemed shadow by giving him his own game again , but of course let’s just go for the lowest hanging fruit and remaster generations again

The Wii and PS2 versions of Sonic Unleashed developed by Dimps were completely different games from the XBOX 360 and PS3 versions made by Sonic Team similar to how the 3DS version of Generations was developed by Dimps and was a completely different game from the one Sonic Team made for the PS3 and XBOX 360. Regardless of version, Unleashed never saw the light of day on PC, whereas Generations did. Not to mention there's no way to play any version of Unleashed on Switch or PS4/5 either.

Both Unleashed and Generations in their original form are also playable on the XBOX One and Series X/S consoles which provide enhancements you don't get by playing them on the original hardware such as a consistent 60FPS even during the most graphically demanding sections of gameplay.

On the other hand, Colours was originally stuck on the Wii, a system that couldn't even output in HD and skipped the PlayStation, XBOX and PC platforms entirely so an enhanced port or remaster of that game was a lot more necessary for that game in particular. All that Generations would need at the very least is a port to PS4 and Switch.

This game isn't being remastered, its just bringing the consoles up to the PC version, and the Shadow part is a new game with better graphics than Sonic Generations you get both games in the bundle

You can just mod it out, we just need it ported to PC with good optimization and that's it, the modders are gonna knock it out the park with modding it

In Generations, the red rings were fully optional and were only used to unlock extras like concept art and music. You were just required to complete one mission in each zone to unlock the boss gates after finishing all 3 zones in an era.

Not really trolling, more so pointing out the kinda double standard your post implies

I mean, you are kinda right about Gens getting it feeling kind of needless, given how it was already ready to go on PC and Xbox (despite the PC port showing its age, but nevertheless, it has been consistently available on PC)

But its your Colors point that spells it out in bright neon signs. Because before Ultimate (say what you will about it) it was in the exact same boat that Unleashed finds itself in today, yet that is equally as bad as Gens in your view for reasons.

So quite literally, the only reason you are heated over this is because it is not Unleashed (a game I seriously don't understand why it is loved, its just ok, but let people like what they want I guess). Nothing about the actual remaster work, just that it is not the game you want

yeah, this game still looks good by todays standards, theres zero reason for this ♥♥♥♥ to get a remaster. its straight up lazy and a cashgrab.

theyre not even remastering it, theyre just selling the same 13 year old game with DLC
