Apparently, Sonic Generations is verified now. What happened?

Still cant get it to boot into game, in desktop mode its allowing me into the config launcher thats it

It's running. First time I launched the config came up. I changed where it said keyboard to xbox 360 controller. Saved and quit with no other changes.

I also had trouble booting the game until I too set "keyboard" to "Xbox 360 Controller" and set both shadows and reflections to "low'. The game does not boot up when they are set to "high". After that the game plays perfectly. I hope that helps. Enjoy.

I'm still having problems with this game, it kept booting me into "Configuration Tools" regardless of me saving and quitting, constantly booting me back into that exact window. I tried clearing out those cfgs files from the game's local files, rebooting, reconnecting different controllers, messing with the settings and I get zero results. I don't know why of all games I have available in my library that are compatible on the Deck, this one is an pain in the ass.

How are you getting it to work? Because it wont go past the config setup for me.

Go to desktop mode and set shadows and reflections to low then set controller or keyboard to Xbox 360. Go back to game mode and start up as normal. It worked fine for me so fingers crossed it works for you but if not just experiment with the different versions of Proton.

Try selecting the graphics card (although it shows as already selected).
The game should not be listed as verified, although it is playable once you get past the config screen.
It is my favourite Sonic game, a lot of fun to play, so it is worth the hassle.

My game has zero audio. I tried reinstalling. Tried switching to older Proton versions, won't let me play because of the keyboard / controller thing and switching it to gamepad in the settings doesn't work, it just reverts to keyboard. No other graphic / audio options revert. Tried all the audio options in the configure tool.

That is so strange. It starts up and plays perfectly on both my normal Steam Deck and my Steam Deck OLED. The only other thing I can suggest is a Factory Reset.
