Does this look/run better than the PS3 version?
So I got this on PS3 when it first released and was wondering if there's any noticeable difference between the console and PC version. I'm fairly sure the PS3 one was 60fps, but it's been a while since I've played it. Are there any other significant differences to make it worth grabbing on Steam?

No, the PS3 version was not 60fps. It ran at a constany 25FPS at near low graphics at 720p. The PC version runs at a solid 60FPS with graphic enchance mods.

Steam version looks and runs better. It also has a lot of mods.

So it wasn't 60fps? Like I said, I haven't played it since release. Well that's good news then! Are there any mods in particular that are just flat out awesome?

The Unleashed project is a great mod to start out with, it gets all of the day time stages from Sonic Unleashed just with better controls and better graphics 60FPS. It's my favorite mod on this game! :)

Actually it is only the Act 1 stages.

Everything looks better on PC. As for performance, it depends on your hardware, though Generations isn't so demanding for these days.

Actually, since you sit closer to the screen you start to notice things like low resoltion or missing AA way easier on pc.
PS3 version ran at 30fps (Lost World ran at 60fps on Wii U though)

Theres no 'low settings" because the game has barely any graphical settings. "Muh PC master race xDDDD" kids pls go

There are always ways to improve your performance. The game isn't even that demanding.

Cool thanks guys. Sounds like this is a killer port. I'll probably pick it up at some point and mod the hell out of it. The lost world sonic model in particular caught my eye. As well as all the stages and the unleashed like was mentioned in this thread.

Downsides compared to the console versions are: unlockable Sonic 1 emulation has been removed, online mode doesn't work properly sometimes and can make your game crash (only online leadersboards by the way, the configuration tool is a bit buggy.
