how do i use a ps4 controller??

it wont let me use my ps4 controller that i use for most other sonic games please help

Pretty sure when you click play there's an option to launch the configuration tool and in there you can select your controller device? Either that or go into big picture mode, controller settings, and enable PlayStation support. I play with a PS4 controller as well for reference

go into the steam settings. Top left of steam, go into the settings. In the new settings window, go to the controller tab and go to general controller settings.
This should open the steam big picture mode and just enable your ps4, xbox, switch or whatever controller there.

Using that, my switch pro controller works like a charm in the game.
