Because it’s pathetically easy. Just defeat every main boss, and then find the 3 rivals.

Metal Sonic is above Chemical Plant, Shadow is above City Escape, and Silver is above Crisis City

Every playthrough ever has this shown. Compared to prior games and their Special Stages, this is pretty simple

i'd prefer location's be shown in a single video :)

Dude every boss and rival has Emerald. Metal Sonic (first rival) above chemical plant has the first one. Death egg robot (first boss) has second emerald. Shadow (second rival) above city escape has the third one. Final Chaos has fourth emerald. Silver (final rival) above crisis city has fifth one. After clearing planet wisp on cutscene you got sixth Emerald. Egg dragoon (final boss) has the last one. I Hope i helped
Yes i fought metal sonic and doctor eggman just yesterday.... That doesn't tell me where all I can find the emeralds... From what I can tell there's a complex video on youtube about a series of sky tube you run threw to pop baloon's and what not to get emeralds in there But I don't think it's in this game....

You get the yellow one from beating Shadow, who can be found in the City Escape part of the hub world. You get the dark blue one by beating Perfect Chaos, who is unlocked by beating at least one challenge act from each of the following three levels: Speed Highway, City Escape, and Seaside Hill. You get the red one by beating the two main acts of Planet Wisp, which are naturally unlocked by progressing through the game. You get the white one by beating Silver, who can be found in the Crisis City portion of the hub world. You get the light blue one from beating the Egg Dragoon, which can be unlocked by beating at least one challenge act from each of the following three levels: Crisis City, Rooftop Run, and Planet Wisp. I hope this helps.
