Sonic Generations mods are EVERYWHERE. So my question is, how is everyone able to do it? I want to make mods, does anyone know of a program or something?

Ok you will need:
QuickBMS (to extract the .cpk(s) which contain the files for the game) - http://aluigi.altervista.org/quickbms.htm

SonicGMI (for installing your mods and testing them) -
http://forums.sonicretro.org/index.php?showtopic=26974

Generations Archive Editor (for editing, exporting and importing textures) -
http://info.sonicretro.org/Generations_Archive_Editor

I don't recommend level editing, model editing or HUD editing until you get a real knack for modding Generations.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Make a folder (wherever, could be where Gens is installed) called "SG Modding Tools", or something similar to that name if you want.

2) Now drag all 3 of the .zip/.rar files to the folder (make sure you have WinRAR or 7Zip installed for extracting .rar files!) then extract all 3 of them to seperate folders

3) Take SonicGMI and place its files where Generations is installed (if you already have it, cash me outside how bou dat?, no I'm joking, just skip this step)

4) Now take bb2.cpk (I think thats the name, and I think it contains the files for the characters) and drag it into QuickBMS, it should now start extracting its contents.

5) Once done, open it up and search for all the "Sonic" related files (if you want to mod Sonic that is) and copy them to another folder called "Sonic Files".

6) Open each file with the Archive Editor and extract the textures to another folder, then edit them to your liking and save them

7) Now re-import the textures then save the files

8) Now, the hard part, in your "mods" folder thats in the root of your Generations directory. make a folder and name it to your mod (whatever you want; example - Sonic Dank Memerations (IK its a bad example) )

9) Now usually there is a text document in the folder for your mod that will list it on GMI, take one from another mod and put it in the folder and edit it to match your mod (sorry if I can't speak English lol)

10) Now within that folder make a folder called disk, then inside that folder, make a folder called bb2, now copy all the sonic files into there.

11) Now go into SonicGMI, tick your mod and set it as first priority on the list.

12) Launch the game and BAM!, you have your very first mod, good job!

13) If any further questions, dont hesitate to ask :b

Sonic Generations needs way much more modding tutorials. Three hyperlinks on Sonic Retro Forum just only nothing more.

I guess you don't know all the answers. I wanted to do Jazz Jackrabbit a'la Sonic the Hedgehog in Sonic Generations videogame as game character mod.
