Word smith achievement - SOLVED

5 playthroughs and still didn´t get wordsmith. I used skip in my 2 playthrough. What am I missing?

i might have done more, can´t remember...
I deinstalled it and try it again
on my 6 playthrough now.. still nothing
I beginnig to believe using skip before the achievement kills it permanently and even reinstalling doesn´t work

Hey Zauberin2,

You have to decode ALL corrupted messages to earn this achievement. Yes, using the SKIP button will permanently lock this achievement (for the following checkpoints, so you might be able to restart from the current checkpoint and solve it yourself).

Solved it finally. Just had to delete the remote.vdf and the save file to enable NEW playthrough AKA highly comfy Beginn+ Skip Mode.

Just to clarify, does SKIP refer to using Begin+ mode? Because I didn't get the Wordsmith achievement on my first playthrough so I'm worried that starting Begin+ mode locks me out of it.

I still don't know which corrupted message I missed, since I seem to have gotten all the ones in the original post.

No skip refers to the version where new playthrough meant pressing Restart instead of Beginn+

i hope this will help to all want this achievment ... when you chat with james at the first time , there are two extra messages from him to decrypt , you must explore every replies to find those out . Good luck guys! :)

What two messages are those? I know that I didn't see the "I don't remember" message that you get if you ask "Who are you?", but I'd like a confirmation on the second one to see if it's one I've already seen before.

sorry i already uninstalled the game :(... just try every replies in that and see that which one will makes him sends you one or two extra decrypt messages ( these can only appear at the first time you chat with him).

Heyyyyy, i dont know if I am the only one still having this issue, but I just went though the game, in every possible location I could find, Tore it to pieces, still couldnt get the wordsmith achievement. ;-; I am fairly certain I have decoded every scrambled picture and word combination in the whole game. Did I break something? ;w;
