There's a specific statistical view on the squad view area that you can use which shows you an assistants view of their ability and potential ability, it also makes it easier to handle your players abilities once they actually arrive (after you scout them). You can also add it to the view showing the players performance as well.

Obviously getting a high quality scout as soon as you can is vital. I had a scout find a 16 year old who played for England and played for my team for about 15 years (from down in the conference all the way up to the Premier League & Champions League) as a completely unattached youth player.

Use scouting filters to check out players under the age of about 22 via potential. Remember that scouts & assistants rate a players potential based on the current team. So a 5 star potential player is EXTREMELY better than your side (note once you get into the Premier League level players you're rarely going to find anything higher than 3.5 stars because your squads should be so good that the difference in their ability or potential compared to the current team will be small.

Always look for unattached gems to bring on free transfers.

In FM12 players with high potential when put into an existing good squad will often play well above their current ability, and instead play more like their potential. It will also help them improve if you play them regularly.

there are 2 very budget players on non edited databases.
Norweigan league i believe. And team was tromso
There was one good midfielder that i do not remember his name well and one good defender.
Defender is Kara.

They are pretty cheap if you compere them to similar talented players

Probably my "current" game (although I haven't played for a while which was a bottom (Conference South/North) to Premier League challenge with FC United.

It's actually the second time I've done it in FM2012 with FC United (I also did it with a 3rd club on launch).

The last season I played I finally got an "invincible" season where I won the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, both super cups and the Club world Championship unbeaten, and while winning the Champions League, technically never lost a tie (I lost one game but won the return leg).

As for "legends", probably this is more of a "it would be legendary" but the first one I played as FC United I signed Sam Johnstone who had left Manchester United and he stayed with the club the rest of his career and won all the trophies at FC United.

You sound like a great manager with a great eye in the transfer market. FC United the peoples club.

I've never been that daring to go to a conference club but I guess it would feel more rewarding. im curious, did the stadium expand as you got to the Prem and Champions league?

Ive brought Charlton from league 1 to winning the champs league and never been allowed to expand, prob just cause its Charlton possibly.

Did you have any previous knowledge of the Norweigan league or just go into the unknown?

I've not even heard of Tromso so im guessing the a very remote club in the country, what a great achievement!!!!

Yeah I rarely bought older players, occasional youth team player coming through but mostly just finding youth talent from across the country/europe/world and bringing them in young.

I had two new stadiums. First one wasn't far into the agme that I kept all the way until I completed the challenge. Ended up being 24k maximum. I just opened the new stadium (20 years after the first one) which was 60k in like 2036.

any tips?

already think im going to have to expand my scouting knowledge and scouts, maybe affiliate a lot more teams.

2036 ive never reached that far. must be full of regens and prob neymar by that stage

Signing good youth regens is pretty easy really(number one tip) and you start to make money selling them even if the dont make the first team. The least i have paid for a quality youth is like 45k and went on to be world class, he came from south afirca, but i have paid up to 10mil for a 18 year old bought off man u

a few of my current regen youth signings

ive just started to get some quality regens coming through too in 2017. ive also made the board improve our facilities in the hope it produces more quality. ill upload a few soon.

only problem ive found with buying regens is the home grown status when registering squads.

them regens look good even now to be fair.
Mack Mar 7, 2018 @ 6:32pm
Home grown status you need to sign them early. I believe if you sign them before they turn 18 they will end up home grown and club trained, while if you sign them before they turn 21 they will just end up as home grown. Also note you can't really send players on loan if the timelines are tight.

I got the English Hero.

Liverpoolscotty those are the achievements for taking a club from the bottom of certain countries (england, scotland, brazil, france, italy and spain I think) to the top division.
MidouCloud Jul 13, 2018 @ 1:28pm
Spanish hero with Real Oviedo. About 16 seasons as manager, wining leagues, champions league and the World Cup with Spain. At the begining winning trophies was very hard but i spent all the money with young players and that was my best move.
