Sound issues

I just got this game and tried it out, but there's no sound at all. Oddly enough, this only happens when using the English voice over settings. It works fine in Japanese. Any ideas?

Edit: Now the sound is entirely gone. I've tested my computer, so I know it's not a hardware problem.

In your game libarary, right click on the game, go to properties, click on the 'local files' tab and then click on 'browse local files'. Find and delete these files:

keycap_config.xml
system_config.xml
input_config.xml

Exit file explorer and everything else except for Steam. Now run the game in configeration mode and set up your video. Don't change anything in audio, just make sure your 'primary sound' is already selected. Run the game. The sound may be in Japanese but don't worry. After you've played story mode for a few seconds, exit out. Run game in config mode once more and change the language to English. Then run it. It should work now.

Keep in mind, you may only really have to delete the system_config.xml but since setting up the controls and video isn't hard then go ahead and delete all three just in case. Hope this helps. Worked for me.

Hey, if anyone is reading this and my method helps or not, let me know. I'm fairly decent at troubleshooting game issues on my own. I'm no master by any means but I understand how allot of programs work (or suppose to work) and I'm pretty OCD when it comes to fixing crap.
