Your wrong it's not
My game never falls out of sync either with v-sync on or off. Perhaps you don't meet the system requirements or something? I'm not sure.
Steam Broadcasting and forced V-Sync ON seemed to cause game sync problems for me, especially after the steam broadcasting color bar turns yellow for a short time, and then back to green. I tested a certain section of Stage 5 and had no game sync issues after turning off steam broadcasting and allowing my video card to let the application decide the v-sync settings, then turning the game v-sync settings to off.
I think steam broadcasting may interfere with the game sync problem, and it's probabaly more noticeable on a weaker system.
Turning ON Vertical Sync doesn't seem to help either, it seems to make the problem happen more often.
I just played Stage 1 without any problems on an LED TV connected with HDMI.
How do you turn off steam broadcasting? Is that the same as playing offline?
