Fuse theory

So I've noticed some strange things when it comes to Fuse, the pilot of Ulala's ship, the Astrobeat, as well as her manager. Between Space Channel 5 and Space Channel 5 Part 2, Fuse's voice changes pretty drastically. I would chalk this up to being a voice actor change, but the VA in Part 2 doesn't even try to mimic how Fuse sounded in SC5. That's not all though: notice how Fuse never leaves the Astrobeat, and despite there being multiple times we see the inside of the ship during SC5, we never see Fuse. Not to mention, when Purge goes to take out Ulala and Space Michael and Fuse blocks the shot using the Astrobeat, he doesn't even attempt to eject from the ship before sending it into the line of fire.
All this leads me to believe that Fuse is NOT a physical person, but is instead, the Astrobeat's on-board AI.
