So after so many years, is there a fix for the out of sync problem?
I tried playing this game many years ago, and I couldnt go further than level 2 because the inputs were totally out of sync with the rhythm in the game. Now I have read many threads about how some people managed to make the game playable as intended by making their frame count go to 30fps by using vsync, while others say to actually turn it off.
Is there a fix? Should I use a program to limit the fps to 30? Turn vsync on or off? If on, in-game or through nvidia control panel/amd settings? Change monitor hertz display manually (I wouldnt go this far anyways)?

This video helped me out. There was a post about this elsewhere so I can't take credit for this. Anyways, I hope this helps you.

Thanks for the video. I checked it out, and its something I will eventually try to do. I didnt know that you could make the computer use fewer cores on each independent game. I knew you could that but for the whole system, but not for individual programs like space channel in this case.
Thanks again.
Oh sweet, gonna try that out the next time I play it, finally, the game will be playable, been sitting in my library for like a year.

Something you'll eventually try to do? It only takes like 2 minutes. lol

No there is no fix really working.
I have a 75Hz panel, and the game runs at an unplayable and unstable 37-38fps (= 75fps/2 because the buggy code in this game forces 1/2 screen framerate). Sigh... No matter what I try with Nvidia Profile Inspector I can't force full framerate in sync with actual video refresh.
If you force 30fps the game will run in slow-motion.
Would be curious to know if for a 120Hz display it would finally run at 60fps sycned....

A legend, a very funny game destroyed by a broken and badly designed PC port.
