This is the very defenition of "Fan Made Game".

Self made, knowledge of content, easy to use game engine with default graphics.

GOOD ON YOU for doing this.

I've spent the last few nights just browsing steam looking for a new game and being disappointed, finding nothing worth playing. This game actually got me interested enough to download it and play it for several hours.

I would love to see a bit more put into it, this should have gone up as an "early access" deally & then fleshed out.

The floating continent thing reminds me so much of ToeJam & Earl, i love it.

This is a great Concept, and all it needs is polish. Every fan started like this, put in the time & became great. If AVGN can have fan games, so can TFS. I dont' see anyone else stepping forward.

Suggestions:

--Would love to have seen all the main players be the TFS crew, maybe for the 2nd game. New Game+?

--Make their "Characters" summons (ala Final Fantasy 3/6)
**FF6 is sited as one of the best RPG's of all time, Near Chrono Trigger & The Mother Series

--The "Support the Official Release" intro blurb (Its a must!!

--More Theme-centric attacks for the TFS crew.
**The captian, dumplin, etc have their signature moves....

--How they got sucked in Cut Scene.
**I get a "Captain N the Game Master" vibe.


Sometimes you can't do it alone. Enlist the community. Find Spriters, Sound/Scene Artists. Attract the Attention of the guys themselves and see if they want to contribute.

A fan-game made by a fan. Simple, enjoyable and well done.

If you are not a fan of the youtube channel "TFS gaming", you are going to miss LOTS of references and you may not even understand the main plot, so it may be wise to avoid this game.

But if you are a fan... Why are you even reading this comment?

It's fairly fun and amusing for an entirely fan based game.

Simply put if you like/are a fan of Team Four Star and like old school style rpgs there's no reason not to give it a shot after all it's free!

Having completed the majority of the game and started a new game+, I now have just fe more things to note.
Firstly the game is fairly short I literally beat it the day I downloaded it. Secondly once you learn certain things you can breeze through most fights.

Honestly other than the occasional spelling errors and the said shortness the game is okay, admittedly if you aren't a TFS fan it probably will hold litttle appeal but if you are one it should prove bit of fun and a way to kill time.

On a side note the creator is fairly active on the forums and appears to be noting feedback for possible fixes/changes so it at least has support.

quite a spectacular game. Love the references and this production group needs to make more games, quite the potential for greatness here. I loved pretty much every moment of this game. Good job everyone involved in its creation.

A great litle RPG. For any fans of Team Four Star this is a must have. Developer is listining and on the spot with fixes and updates. Really could not be happier with this free RPG.

I loved this game. There were a few typo's, but overall it was very fun. It took me about 5 hours to beat, and now I'm getting ready to replay it in new game +. If you are a fan of TFS, you will love this game. If you are not a fan, or have not heard of them, it is still a solid RPG worth checking out.

Might be a bit simplistic but it's a nice RPG from a well known, and favorited, group of the internet. :)

Full of bugs. The game would be OK if it just weren't so broken. There are minor glitches that are annoying, but tolerable and then there are game breaking bugs. During my second playthrough I stepped into an invisible portal in the starting cave that took me to the poison swamp in the second half of the game with no way back to the earlier areas because I had not beaten the boss that makes the ship between areas usable. Upon entering the house in the marsh it played the cutscene from the first playthrough but from the perspective of the second group. However when I re-entered the house I was trapped because for some reason the game thought it was still the first playthough and was checking to see if I got the crystal. It just kept saying "I can't leave yet".

If you're a hardcore fan of TFS plays the in-jokes will probably make it worth it for you. If you only watch DBZ and Hellsing Abridged none of this will interest you and the bugs will frustrate you. Plus the dialog constantly switches back and forth between using their real names and stage names. If you don't know them it's confusing.

The class system in the second playthrough seemed interesting though not completely fleshed out. Given that one of the NPCs tells you that leveling classes opens up new classes I wanted to see where it was going.
