If you do like the Early Medieval period, and Anglo-Saxon history in particular, then you will enjoy this. There are a ton of little nods to history and even little known archaeological finds, and just really nice attention to historical detail overall.
The character management and intrigue system will probably be appealing to you as well if you like "The Last Kingdom." Managing your nobles or jarls is a huge part of the campaign game, and their personalities have big weight, much more so than in other TWs: there will be situations akin to the show, where as your faction leader is approaching death, you are trying to figure out how you're going to get a retainer to be loyal to your heir, or where you can radically improve governance over a vassal kingdom through the cultural influence and traits of your daughter that you marry to their king, stuff like that.
"Gameplay is all." lol
Also I've noticed the sound of battles in this one is soooo good, I dont know what it is but the hruling of insults, clash of swords sounds so much better than prev tw's.
That said, you might aswell wait for the xmas sales, I feel its worth full price, but if you can get it cheaper then why not aha.
Also as a seperate note, Ive not watched the last kingdom, but Ive read all the books (so far) and if you enjoy reading, I suggest the winter king, its a historical take on king arthur and its amazing!
Lol the trolling for Thrones is weird. It's going to be baffling to people several years from now, why one of the best releases CA had was treated like ♥♥♥♥ lol. Makes absolutely no sense.
after getting ripped off on ROME 2. i would not buy it unless you can demo or it's on sale.
I have no respect or trust in the company anymore. I view them as "might be a cash grab"
One of the best releases?
Yes yes, and the new one that's coming is going to be even better than this one.
Are you sure you are taking the correct medication?
The incoming update looks great as it finally allow alternative building path in villages, rebalance the recruitment system and you can set political difficulty as you wish. I think (and hope) it will reconciliate some fans with the game
But if you liked Attila and love the time period/location, I'm pretty sure you'll like ToB
You can either buy it now and test it (you can sak Steam for a refund under 2h of gameplay), or buy it cheaper on Instant Gaming or this kind of stuff
