'Total War Academy' button?

There's a button in the top left that says you can watch some videos or something like that.

If I click this button the result is that I lose game audio. There are no videos, and I simply lose game audio. Currently I'm less than impressed with this button.

Is this the same for you guys?

Hi there.

The Academy needs to have the Steam overlay activated on Steam - the issue you're having is likely being caused by having the overlay switched off in the Steam options.

Hi. Thank you for answering. I had asked your help team by sending a request off, but although they answered quickly, they only told me to check the game files were all installed etc. When I asked them directly if the button worked for them they told me to go and ask on the forums instead of answering my question. I tell you all this just to inform you rather than moan and whine.

I got to the point where I lost audio even when restarting the game, so I refunded.

A streamer I asked tried it and told me, just as you have, that it was a Steam overlay and browser thing.

Thank you again for bothering to reply with precisely the solution to the issue I had, which is the overlay is indeed currently turned off.

I will rebuy the game.

P.S. I prefer the days of Shogun 2 where all you need to know is in the game rather than clicks and buttons leading you to the web.

Yea but if steam overlay is disable just have the link come up in the default browser
