I think they want you to have the extra gigs for saving games, none of my total war downloads have actually been the size they claim they are, they likely just scan to make sure you have it so they can't say the game is messed up when normal gameplay is interupted from lack of memory.
Attila was half the size as advertised.
Yes I did but nothing changed. So we have a lot more. What's the point of this then if you can't play at 00.00 a.m on May 3rd? :(
So the remaining part will be avalaible after the release?
The game is not going to come out at 00:00 anyway. It comes out at 3-4 PM GMT. I have no idea why they split the game the way they do with preloads, other large games i've preloaded had much smaller release day downloads.
Simple: Putting of the stress of the steam servers, when people want to all click the download button when the game released.
Thats the only reason to pre-load.
Pre-loading means: you have half the game already.
Than you'll need to download the other half, making the load on the steam servers half that much.
