Ratings don't affect sales figures on steam
And it isn't something "that should have been in there from the start", it is an extra option that took them extra time to make. Some of us (probably a whole lot of us) don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about blood and gore. Honestly, even if it were free, I wouldn't bother...because how does that make it a better game?
yeah, because everyone knows dismemberment animations make themselves
It just looks weird to me. I come from an era where you didn't have to pay extra for something like this.
