Cross Platform? PC / Console - same server?
Will PC gamers be able to play with their console friends on the same server?

As a streamer, this would be a really cool feature. The steam community could unite with other platforms. A united community would yield better community content i.e. the track editor. Not to mention all of the other benefits of a strong community...

P.s. It's possible to use a mouse and keyboard on console. It is also possible to use a controller on PC.

Any other arguments for or against this?

This would be epic! Not enough games do this!
I'd just like to point out that this would not stop me from buying the game twice; once for my streaming PC and another to casually game downstairs on the PS4 in the living room. I see it as more of a convenience fee to be able to access the game on other devices. I definitely support the idea of being able to play with others regardless of what platform they are currently using.

As long as it didn't screw up the PC performance. MXGP3 is locked at 30fps on the PS4 (horrible to play, I can't even make it around corners) and I maintain a solid 120fps (games built in limit on the PC) @ 1440p on a gsync monitor. I'd hate to be locked at a laggy eye bleeding 30fps on real hardware just for the sake of cross platform. So as long as the PC's performance isn't hindered...

This ! Consoles have always burdened PC games in general . That said , there's xbox x's or whatever thier called we use for steaming here , so no dropped connections like Roku .
