can't find Adobe Air version

Hi; I cannot run Cruchel; every time I try this message appears: "This application requires a version of adobe air which cannot be found." I've installed the newest version of Air, with no result. I've found a couple of threads in other fourms where people faced this issue too, both in Windows (I'm on Mac), with Samorost 3 game, but with no solution posted. Any ideas? I'm using an intel core i5 Mac Mini, running 10.13.4 High Sierra. Thanks!

Clarification: I cannot run Cruchel if I downloaded the app directly. It works if I activate it in Steam.

Hmm... Perhaps the version of CHUCHEL on Steam is a newer version than the one you downloaded (I assume from a Humble link)? Have you tried launching the Steam version of the game while Steam is *not* running? It can be found here:

Users/[USER-NAME]/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/CHUCHEL/

Found the trouble, it's not about Chuchel; tried to uncompress the zip with a different app and it works properly; seems that my compressing utility is somehow broken. Thanks for the answer anyway!
